What Does Branding Cost for Startups? Costs & Budget

Guide prices, budget planning and payment models – honest and without bargain promises.

Updated: September 2026

1. What does branding cost for a startup?

It depends on the scope. Our guide values for professional agencies: the essential kit (positioning, logo, stationery, landing page) is around €10,900–34,800, a funding-round package with website and pitch deck around €16,800–55,200.

2. Why are there no cheap packages?

Because a brand works for years, and professional agencies develop strategy, design and implementation carefully. Cheap template packages often cost more later – for redesigns, rebranding or legal problems with the name.

3. What does a logo cost?

A professional logo with all variants is around €2,400–8,000 as a guide value. With colours, typography and a style guide, it becomes the basis of a corporate design.

4. What does a website cost?

A landing page is around €2,400–8,000, a company website with 5–10 pages around €6,400–19,200, web portals and custom shops considerably more. Who writes the copy and which CMS is used change the price a lot.

5. What does a pitch deck cost?

Storyline and design of an investor deck are around €3,200–12,800, a one-pager around €800–2,400 on top. If story and numbers are ready, it costs less.

6. Are the guide prices binding?

No. They are non-binding guide values at professional-agency level, excl. VAT, printing, production, media and third-party costs. The binding proposal comes from the agency.

7. Why should I state a budget?

Because agencies adapt the scope to the budget. Without one they have to guess – which leads to proposals that don't fit. A realistic range saves everyone time.

8. What if the budget isn't fixed yet?

Choose «Not defined yet – please advise» and state whether funding is still in progress. The agency can then propose a core scope and optional extensions.

9. Which payment models are common?

Fixed-price projects, milestone payments and monthly retainers. Some agencies accept equity from startups for part of the fee – say in the questionnaire whether you are open to that.

10. Which costs come on top?

Depending on the project: printing and production, font licences, stock photos, hosting, trademark filing and legal fees, booth construction and floor rent at fairs, and media budget for ads.

Payment models you are open to

Would you be willing to pay part of the fee in company shares (equity)? Some agencies work with startups partly in exchange for a stake – this can lower the cash amount. Whether it is possible is always up to the agency.

How would you like to pay? Some agencies also accept cryptocurrencies – please tell us so we can match you with a suitable agency.
