Pitch Deck Design – 10 Questions and Answers

How a pitch deck convinces investors – and what the agency needs for it.

Updated: September 2026

1. What goes into a pitch deck?

Problem, solution, market, business model, traction, competition, team, financials and the ask – how much money you are raising and for what.

2. How many slides should a pitch deck have?

Usually 10–15 slides for the first meeting, plus an appendix with details for later conversations.

3. What does the agency do for a pitch deck?

It helps with storyline and structure, designs all slides and charts and delivers an editable template. With coaching it also prepares the delivery.

4. Do I need the content already?

No. State in the questionnaire whether story and numbers are ready or you need help with the storyline – that affects scope and price.

5. What is a one-pager?

One page with the essentials for investors, sent in advance to spark interest in a meeting.

6. Will I get an editable file?

Yes – ask specifically for a master template in your tool, such as PowerPoint, Keynote or Google Slides, so you can keep the deck up to date.

7. Is pitch coaching worth it?

Often yes. Investors also judge the delivery. Coaching practises timing, body language and answers to critical questions.

8. When should I start the deck?

At least 3–4 weeks before the first investor meetings, leaving time for feedback and rehearsals.

9. Does the deck need to match the corporate design?

Ideally yes – a consistent look is more professional. Without a finished corporate design, the deck can be a first building block for it.

10. What does a pitch deck cost?

As a guide around €3,200–12,800 for storyline and design, depending on how far content and numbers are ready.
