Launch, Film and Photo for Startups – 10 Questions

How to plan a launch that gets noticed – with campaign, film and photos.

Updated: September 2026

1. What does a launch campaign include?

Message, channels, ad materials, timeline and often film, photos, press work and an event – all built around a fixed date.

2. When should I start planning?

Usually 6–12 weeks before the launch date, earlier for film and events.

3. What does an image film cost?

Our guide value is around €8,000–24,000 for concept, shoot and edit. Simple productions cost less, elaborate ones with actors more.

4. How long should a film be?

Often 15–60 seconds for social media, 1–2 minutes for website and fairs.

5. What is an explainer video?

A short, usually animated video that explains your product clearly in 60–120 seconds.

6. Do I need a photo shoot?

Your own photos of team, product and everyday work look more credible than stock photos and are needed for website, press and social media.

7. What is an internal launch?

The brand is presented to your own employees first, so they understand and support it before it goes public.

8. Is the media budget included in the price?

No. The guide values cover the agency's work. The budget for ads and distribution comes on top and is asked for separately.

9. Do I need a launch event?

Not always. For customers, partners, press or investors an event can generate a lot of attention.

10. How do I measure the success of a launch?

Set goals beforehand – sign-ups, sales, press coverage or reach – and measure them during and after the launch.

Payment models you are open to

Would you be willing to pay part of the fee in company shares (equity)? Some agencies work with startups partly in exchange for a stake – this can lower the cash amount. Whether it is possible is always up to the agency.

How would you like to pay? Some agencies also accept cryptocurrencies – please tell us so we can match you with a suitable agency.
